I’ve always been driven by a deep passion for learning. It’s what ignited my freelance career and has fueled my pursuit of creative challenges and continuous growth. From the age of 18, I’ve navigated the freelance world, building a diverse skill set across marketing, content creation, and beyond.
About four years ago, in the midst of the pandemic, I decided to embark on a bold new venture—I launched my own online magazine. At the time, I was studying journalism and working with social media clients, but I craved something more—a platform to connect with and highlight the stories of remarkable women in business. What started as a personal passion project quickly evolved into something much larger.
I committed to publishing a monthly issue, interviewing 15-20 influential women per edition. Alongside the interviews, I curated travel, art, and lifestyle content, pouring my heart and soul into every detail. From early mornings to late nights, I honed every visual element, secured major interviews, and created promotional content that resonated.
The magazine grew faster than I could have imagined. We began interviewing powerhouse women—NASA scientists, TED speakers, and entrepreneurs featured in Forbes and The New York Times—some with followings exceeding one million. I assembled a dedicated team of 15 women who volunteered their time to help build and manage the magazine. With a trusted partner overseeing operations, I focused on the creative direction, and soon a whole new world of opportunity opened up.
Brands began sending us products weekly. We were invited to exclusive events like LA Fashion Week to interview designers. PR agencies and agents reached out daily with interview requests for their high-profile clients. Before long, we were collaborating with bestselling authors, creating digital products with top influencers, and securing advertisements effortlessly.
All of this unfolded because I dared to say YES. Yes to new opportunities, yes to connections, and yes to stepping into a world I previously knew little about.
Throughout this journey, I developed invaluable skills: conducting high-level interviews, building relationships with brands and influencers, publishing online content, and managing a team of 15+ interns. I mastered organizing communication between agencies, being comfortable on camera, and designing eMagazines and multi-platform content. I also learned how to create and manage digital products, build an online store, execute marketing campaigns, schedule content, and manage social media growth. From organizing photoshoots and influencer contracts to securing press access to major events and designing our brand identity, every challenge became a lesson, and every lesson made me more confident in my craft.
After an incredible journey of growth, creativity, and connection, the magazine closed its virtual doors and published its final issue last year. It was a bittersweet decision, but one made with immense gratitude for everything we accomplished. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the 25 talented interns, business partners, brand sponsors, and interviewees who made this adventure possible. Your support, collaboration, and belief in our mission helped create something truly special, and I will forever cherish the experience and the community we built together.
